SHIPWRECK! Pirates & Treasure comes directly from Odyssey Marine Exploration, the world leader in the field of deep-ocean shipwreck exploration. Featuring hundreds of priceless artifacts and treasures recovered from deep-ocean archaeological excavations, SHIPWRECK! Pirates & Treasure plunges guests beneath the sea to uncover the mysteries of some of the world’s most-famous shipwrecks. Through interactive, multimedia experiences, guests can experience the world of deep-ocean exploration and the thrill of uncovering history and treasure buried - but not forgotten.

The highlight of the exhibition takes guests 1,700 feet below the Atlantic Ocean to the wreck site of the SS Republic®, the greatest shipwreck treasure of the Civil War era. More than 51,000 gold and silver coins and approximately 14,000 additional artifacts were recovered at this site in the world's most-extensive, deep-ocean, archaeological excavation.

Families navigating through the interactive, multi-media exhibit can pilot a robot submersible, discover what it takes to be a deep-ocean explorer, learn about the research, technology, archaeological recovery and conservation involved in the quest for deep-sea knowledge and treasures, walk the plank to get an up-close look at the world of pirates and battle the forces of nature in a 75-mph hurricane tube and much more.

Circus!
On Exhibition December 13, 2008 – July 12, 2009

Step right up and discover the secrets of science under the big top!

Featuring more than 20 multi-station, interactive exhibits that amaze, thrill, perplex and entertain, Circus! offers visitors a behind-the-big-top view of the science needed to make circus magic come to life.

Spectators become performers at Circus! Walk the line on The High Wire*; take aim with the Human Cannonball; and strap on the Elastic Acrobatics* harness and spring up into the air. Younger performers can take to the center ring in the Creative Costume and Play Area, where they can role-play and try on costumes. All entertainers-in-training can learn to juggle, spin plates and clown around in Clown Alley. Guests also can learn about circus communication styles in Animal Communication and Circus Lingo. Visitors venturing into Sideshow, can see a Ballyhoo Silhouette, measure brute force in Feats of Strength, learn about the anatomy of a Sword Swallower and even witness a Flea Circus.

Circus! is free with Museum admission.

*Attraction guidelines
Guests must be at least 44 inches tall and age 7 or older to walk The High Wire.
No flip flops or open-toed shoes are permitted on The High Wire.
Guests must be at least 50 lbs. and age 7 or older to swing on Elastic Acrobats.
